About Highborne Farm.

Meet the people behind Highborne Farm.

Dr Cameron Osborne has had a passion for horses since childhood but grew up in an urban setting without an opportunity to ride. His journey to Eventing began with an interest in thoroughbred racing, particularly the breeding side. He pursued this interest over thirty- five years on two properties on the Darling Downs, and Eleanor’s interest in and commitment to Eventing introduced him to performance horse sport. He is now a devotee and keen to see Eventing prosper in Queensland.

Cameron’s day job until recently was as a medical practitioner practising as a specialist in Sport and Exercise medicine and as a general practitioner. His combined interest in sport and medicine gave him the opportunity to travel the world as team doctor to elite sporting teams, serving 15 yrs in this capacity with the Queensland Reds and four years with the Wallabies. Now retired, Cameron is focussing all his energies on the development and management of Highborne Farm.

Andrea Osborne grew up on a cotton farm in central Queensland where she learnt to ride, attending the local pony club and shows with her horse ‘Gypsy Lass’.  She has maintained an interest in horses over the years through Cameron’s and Eleanor’s equine pursuits, and since retiring from her management position in a government agency in 2014, now resides permanently at Highborne Farm where she is integral to the day to day operations. Andrea manages client communications and accounts, and is fastidious about the presentation of the property.  Any visitor to the farm can attest to its tidy appearance and extensive gardens.

Both Cameron and Andrea are active executive members of Warwick Horse Trials.
